Sandbox VR review : An extension of the reality where I was

Amber Sky 2088
My hands are Droid, and so was my body with the gesture movement to heal and shield as an Optimus. It’s only a holodeck, yet the elevated height of a hundred meters upward threw me off guard. Open deck with the actual atmospheric physics of the city scape attacked by multiple jets bombing, I know all these are not real, but it all look intensely actual. I forget where the rest of my physical self is.
An extension of the reality where I was, or a complete escapism. My mind had been deceived.
Virtual Reality has been around for close to a century, as a form of entertainment and training for the Navy and Air crew. In gaming arcades, movie theaters and simulations. So many types of VR experiences are at the ready.

Holodeck
Home VR
Alternatively, home VR is an option. Tethered headsets, like the HTC Vive Cosmo or the PlayStation VR that require a higher processing power that connects with a cable to the computer or PlayStation 4. Provide six degrees of freedom (6DoF) by the sensors strapped over the arms and legs, or the cameras on the headset to track your movement.
A standalone headset, does not require any cords attached and are typically three degrees of movement (3DoF). Among those are Samsung Gear VR, and Google cardboard. The user’s steps forward and backward are not tracked. In-built sensor of the smartphones measures the motion.
Sandbox VR
In Sandbox VR, the Oculus Rift headset perfectly combines both standalone and allows 6DoF with much more mobility by wearing the haptic vest. The bullets and other attacks felt much more real with the ability to feel the game feedback right on you. Over my ears was a HyperX headphones to communicate with my team players.

On some levels I got reminded of Sword Art Online. Virtual Reality is a constant competition to come up with the best interactive simulation. And the lowest latency with good frame rates to dive in so seamlessly, so tread carefully.
