Complete Guide of Post-Covid Digital Passport for Traveling

A year has passed when Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, a Director General of World Health Organization (WHO) declared pandemic which was then announced in many countries as a state of emergency to break the infectious chain of disease. On 31st December 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) approve the use of COVID-19 vaccine- Pfizer/BioNTech.
What does this mean for travelers?
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) launched a COVID-19 digital travel pass, whereby showing the IATA application from your smartphone would present a verified proof of COVID-19 test and vaccination certificate digitally. All these information are confidential and only encrypted in your phone. If traveler requirements are all met, a notification responding ”ok” will be received to the user.

Singapore Aviation announced, starting from 1st May 2021 Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore collaboration with International Air Transport (IATA) will be put in place to facilitate procedures in Singapore airport for departure and arrival check-in and out.

How to use the IATA travel pass?
1. Download IATA application
2. Take a selfie and a photo of your passport
3. Add your flight details E.G Airline and Date of departure
4. Scan digital ID to allow the lab securely send test result to your mobile
5. Upload your vaccine certificate to IATA
