Get Your Coffee Fix with a Robotic Arm

Robotic Barista

ELLA The Robotic Barista

ELLA has the appearance of a robotic arm commonly seen in a Sci-fi movie, she is fully autonomous with a modular form that can be readily deployed in any city. In December 2020, her first trip was to Tokyo, Japan. ELLA was spotted in JR East train stations.

ELLA serves Italian roasted beans- Buscaglione coffee. A strong with a robust taste for any commuters needing a perk-me-up.

ELLA superpower

ELLA’s ability to brew over 300 coffee recipes comes from Data, AI, and robotics. She is able to suggest and remember your coffee preference.

She is able to serve 200 cups of joe within an hour, and a cup in 3 minutes (tried and tested!). However, with a Crown Digital app, a simple scan is able to get ELLA ready with a good cuppa coffee the second a commuter arrives at the designated kiosk. (Download before heading down!)

ELLA runs an AI-powered vision system 24/7, recognizing and identifying coffee spills or any stranger approaches when she “sleeps”. ELLA protects herself with these internal security features that not only have live monitoring but also adding solenoid IoT locks (smart locks).

ELLA location

Today, she is commonly seen interacting with her “friends” at Plaza Singapore level 1. By the end of 2022, ELLA will have 30 others located in the MRT stations.

There is a friendly staff, going the extra mile to guide and share with you a little more about ELLA.

Additionally, there is a condiment corner for all your extra needs to drink cozily.
